Plastic Wrapped  is a series of mixed media collage works on stretched fabric. Sometimes embedded in plaster or cement, sometimes featuring transparent appliqué windows, these works preserve, protect, and display vintage printed media from America's Golden era. Imagery culled from cookbooks, magazines, and encyclopedias celebrate dated imagery and corresponding ideals, while simultaneously making them subject to question. Hand stitched with care beneath clear vinyl sheets, the past is now pre-packaged and ready for consumption.
